People living with a blood-borne virus — HIV, hepatitis B or hepatitis C — face systemic barriers and stigma and discrimination when accessing the health system. It is everybody’s business to work together Removing Barriers and stigma and discrimination across the health systems.
On this site you will find evidence of the stigma and discrimination experienced by people with blood-borne viruses, you will learn how this affects their health and treatment options, and you can find out how you can make a difference in your health care setting by helping to identify and challenge attitudes and behaviours that lead to stigma and discrimination.
